I also do not see any extraneous messages compiling with gcc inside
of a Xemacs shell with this dll.

win2k cygwin=ntsec binmode tty nosmbntsec codepage:oem 
all mounts binary 
xemacs-21.2.45.exe  13-Mar-2001 (built from latest CVS)
gcc 2-95.2-9 (the second -9, not the initial goof)
