Use rxvt (available from CygUtils:
http://www.neuro.gatech.edu/users/cwilson/cygutils/V1.1/ ) plus an
xserver, and set TERM=rxvt.  Or, use the server-less windows port of
rxvt from http://www.io.com/~bub/rxvt.html ) and again, set TERM=rxvt.
