A little OT -- but then again Mutt is a cygwin port ;,)

My muttrc has:
set signature ="~/mutt/signature.remote"

and the file *does* exist -- but I'll be go-to-hell if Mutt will
append the sucker. Any ideas?

Oh yea... I'm using the "builtin" editor because I still can't get
Mutt to use my external one. Fixed the color problem though!! Tia..
