Check the mail archives for this flag.  I know this was something that
Mumit Khan introduced to gcc 2.95 but I also seem to remember a mention 
that this patch has not been applied to the mainstream yet.  You may be
able to find the patch at Mumit's site if that's the case (see "Related
sites" link on the Cygwin home page).
