Message-ID: <20001017025104.A21749@hg.cs.mu.oz.au> References: <20001004142446.6992.qmail@web124.yahoomail.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii X-Mailer: Mutt 1.0pre3i In-Reply-To: <20001004142446.6992.qmail@web124.yahoomail.com> Does the `-mno-cygwin' option to gcc work "out of the box" with Cygwin? In other words, does the Cygwin distribution include Mingw? Does it need to? If `-mno-cygwin' needs some other software (i.e. Mingw) installed in order for it to work properly, it might be a good idea to modify the code for `-mno-cygwin' so that it checks whether Mingw has been installed, and if not, reports a clear error message. (I spent a bit of time trawling the Cygwin and Mingw web sites in search of the answer to this fairly basic question, but I didn't spot it in the FAQs.) -- Fergus Henderson | "I have always known that the pursuit WWW: | of excellence is a lethal habit" PGP: finger fjh@128.250.37.3 | -- the last words of T.
