Also, I've put cygwin-1.1.2 vintage binutils at

  http://www.cs.unc.edu/~juliano/cygwin-old-binutils/

These were in the latest/binutils directory when I downloaded
cygwin-1.1.2.  The current binutils src is in the latest/binutils
directory now, alongside the current binaries.
