Anyway, I checked again, and it looks like you are missing " Solutions" in the middle. Here is a piece of 'cygcheck -s -r' started from bash: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions\CYGWIN.DLL setup (default) = 0x00000100 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions\CYGWIN.DLL setup\b15.0 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions\CYGWIN.DLL setup\b15.0\mounts HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions\CYGWIN.DLL setup\b15.0\mounts\00 (default) = `C:' unix = `/' fbinary = 0x00000000 fsilent = 0x00000000 Cygcheck should list the first '(default)' as 'heap_chunk_in_mb' and the second as 'native', according to regedit. My example has heap_chunk_in_mb 0x00000100 (256). I've also tried 512 and 768, and better set too high than too small. (The default if nonexisting was 128, last time I browsed the sources). I have not tested if 1024 or greater works...
