Non-Cygwin programs will not understand the Cygwin mounted directories or
symbolic links.  Options:

1) The Cygwin pages give you a link to a Cygwin built perl, download that.
2) Buy the Cygwin V1.0 CD, it comes with a Cygwin build perl.
3) Change the script to use the win32 path.
