I've found that if I pipe output to "less", keystrokes are no longer echoed
at the command prompt.
In other words, after I do "ls | less", and return to the prompt, whatever I
type isn't echoed. However, the typing does get executed after a carriage
return.

I've found this on the latest cygwin1.dll, as well as earlier versions. I'm
running on win95.
