K7 is fast and cheap. a real winner. It's nearly as fast as the
Xeon at same speed, but it's gonna kill Xeon considering its prize
It seems to me that no new instructions are added to it, but
we must wait till the specs of it get released before we know that for
sure.
Also unknown is in how far it's 64 bits
For me the K7 at 550Mhz was a big surprise (L2 cache at processor speed,
and 512kb of it). It performed directly at 280k speed, the
PII450 was tested at 220k speed (integers).
