Subject: installation: make bootstrap problems
Reply-To: pgcc AT delorie DOT com

ok...i just sent a message a little while ago, but i need to add to it
now.

The error i reported is caused by pgcc. Once i patch the source for
egcs-1.1.2, and run ./configure, the file "gcc/Makefile" will then have
the offending lines that have "@gcc_clh_cpp@" in them. One such line is
"CLH_CPP = @gcc_clh_cpp@".

If i DON'T patch it with the egcs-1.1.2-pgcc-1.1.3.diff file, these
"@gcc_clh_cpp@" bits don't get added, and egcs compiles fine (with both
make, and make bootstrap).

any idea how i get this stuff to work? and what the heck is the
@gcc_clh_cpp@ supposed to do for the makefile anyway?

once again, please reply directly to me, since I am NOT on this list.

thanks.
