You are probably thinking of a version of Borland's Turbo C which was
given away with a book or similar. The best people to ask are probably
Borland (now Inprise, I believe) - you shouldn't be able to download it
because it's not freeware. Whoever is organising the course would also
be likely to know about avalible versions.
If it is just a generic C programming course and you are not using
any of the extras provided by Turbo C you should be able to use any
standard C compiler (such as PGCC :-) ). Again, ask your instructor if
you really need Turbo C, or if that's just the particular compiler they
are using.
