I have installed these, I can compile some things... it's just that X
stuff doesn't seem to work. I have now installed another version of
gcc and had exactly the same problem so it probably is my lack of
certain header file. I'll look into it some more.

How did you know that? My companies products all run on Amiga
basically because it's the closest thing to real-time for the price.
