the sanity test fails when compiling bzip2 with pgcc. All the
information you need should be obvious from the text below. Maybe it's
something in bzip2 but other compilers didn't fail the test and pgcc
with the default CFLAGS (-Wall -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer
-fno-strength-reduce) passed too.

Checking test results. If any of the four "cmp"s which follow
report any differences, something is wrong. If you can't easily
