hi.. first of all... please reply to me directly as i am not on your mailing list... I wanted to know.. how does PGCC produce faster code? is it by optimizing for the pentium arch. or by using Pentium specific instructions.. and if it does use those instructions.. does that mean that code generated by PGCC does not work on 486 and less? or where those instructions do not exist?
