When attempting build groff-1.11 with pgcc v1.1a, the build quits with this error (the first few lines are wrapped - sorry): gcc -O -I./lib/Xt -I. -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/include -Dlinux LinuxMachineDe fines -D_POSIX_C_SOURCE=199309L -D_POSIX_SOURCE -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500L -D_BSD_SOUR CE -D_SVID_SOURCE -DFUNCPROTO=15 -DNARROWPROTO -DFONTPATH=\".:/usr/lib/groff /font:/usr/local/lib/font:/usr/lib/font\" -c xditview.c -o xditview.o gcc: cannot specify -o with -c or -S and multiple compilations make: *** [xditview.o] Error 1 I believe that the problem is LinuxMachineDefines, which is taken to be a source file. This is a recurring problem with egcs/pgcc; it is seen with XFree86 also. Anyone know which file to tweak to get groff to build? Thank you. *** Steve Snyder ***
