Hmm.. the egcs snapshot was delayed, and they probably changed something
between me making the patch and jeff making the egcs snapshot ;)

Not that I'd know. At the moment, with linux using a problematic gcc
feature, I'd say better do not compile your kernel with pgcc or egcs (or
gcc-2.8). _my_ system works fine (with -O6 -mpentiumpro), but that does not
mean anything..
