Subject: | Problems in patching EGCS to PGCC |

I downloaded the EGCS source files and the PGCC patch (both dated 08/24/98) from http://www.gcc.ml.org/snapshots.html. The patch won't apply cleanly though. Yes, I following the patching directions on the PGCC Web page (above) yet I still get errors. The patch complaints are all regarding documentation- related files: gcc/gcc.info-* and texinfo/*. Except to a few warnings regarding unused variables the compiler itself builds and installs without error. My system: RedHat v5.1 /w RedHat's updated patch RPM. Are these patch problems common? If not, how do I work around them? ***** Steve Snyder *****
