Hi, don't know if this is relevant to you: Compiling with -O (and up) the file d-link/boot1.c in ld.so-1.9.5 gives boot1.c:897: fixed or forbidden register was spilled. This may be due to a compiler bug or to impossible asm statements or clauses. gcc -v says: Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-pc-linux-gnulibc1/pgcc-2.90.23/specs gcc version pgcc-2.90.23 980102 (egcs-1.0.1 release) ralf -- URL: http://rws.home.pages.de/
