Has anyone done any recent floating point intensive benchmarks between pgcc, gcc-2723, gcc-280, and egcs. Even with pgcc CFLAGS at: -mpentiumpro -O9 -frisc -fomit-frame-pointer \ -fno-exceptions -malign-double -mstack-align-double \ -funroll-all-loops It seems like floating point stuffs is faster on gcc-2723 and gcc-280... Hmmm... If no one has done the test recently... well... I can do a set of benchmarks test myself and report back. -jeffrey hundstad
