gcc -v:

Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-pc-linux-gnulibc1/pgcc-2.91.02/specs
gcc version pgcc-2.91.02 971206 (gcc-2.8.0)

After compiling linux-2.0.33 when running applications such as clock(8)
or X(1) I get the following report (while running strace on the
application):

iopl(0x3)                               = 0
- --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) ---
+++ killed by SIGSEGV +++

With gcc-2.7.2.3 clock(8) and X(1) work as expected.

BTW: just for fun I recompiled clock(8) and the behavior is exactly the
same.

I didn't see anything /weird/ in the linux compilation logs.
