I think the early versions were shareware/trialware...and recall eating LD 
charges to call the Gazelle Systems BBS in Utah to get it.  By the time DOS 5 
came out, due to the FAT changes, you had to upgrade from Q-DOS 2 to Q-DOS 3 
which was strictly retail, but with a guarantee that they'd take it back and buy 
you the file manager of your choice if you didn't like it.<g>

I googled around for a bit and found a few hits on abandonware sites that either 
had dead links or required registration...so no easy link to paste.

The author ended up losing Gazelle Systems as a condition of his divorce 
settlement, and his ex kept it running for a while without producing any new 
versions or products.  He started PowerQuest a few years later and produced 
Partition Magic.
