Hi,
when I used DOS more regularly in the past, I had a ethernet card from
Realtek of the 8139 family.
For this card it is the easiest way to just load the paket driver rtspkt.com
and setup the software that is able to run on a paket driver; i. e. I used
Lynx, Minuet, and an IRC and a ICQ client (can't remember the names of these
chat clients).
The connection via my DSL was unbelievable fast.
If your card is one of the 8139 family and if you can't find rtspkt.com I
could sent it by pm.

Yours sincerely

Arno
