Well, 4dos is more versatile than command.com and 
has a *smaller* footprint in conventional RAM as 
long as you have extended or expanded RAM available. 

Heck, on my old XT clone with an AboveBoard in it, I 
had something like 630k available for running 
programs! More if I ran the utility that let me use 
the graphics RAM on the VGA card as main memory.
