Subject: SyQuest SCSI w/DR-DOS 7.03

My SyQuest SyJet cartridge drive has worked for years under BIOS
control, but hangs when I attempt to operate it with the ASPI
manager (ASPI8DOS.sys) and either the SyQuest (SQDRIVER.sys) or
Adaptec (ASPIDISK.sys) device drivers.

Does anyone know anything specific about DR-DOS 7.03 and SqQuest
SCSI driver, particularly about the RCS.ZIP patch (see below) in
the SyQuest readme file.

Tks, Gary

        SCSI DOS Utilities (c)SyQuest, 1992 - 1996
=================================================================
========== The SyQuest DOS SCSI UTILITY is intended for use with
SyQuest SCSI drives.

9. DR DOS

SQDRIVER.SYS has many problems with DR DOS 5.0. We do not
recommend you installing our driver under it. With DR DOS 6.0, if
volume(s) on your SyQuest drive were installed by the built-in
driver and then taken over by our driver, you must load a patch
file from Digital Research. You can download the patch file RCS.ZIP
   from SyQuest BBS (510) 656-0473.

Without installing the patch, you can not change cartridges.
