Renaming HIMEM.SYS does not work, since the process seems to be that
IO.SYS in Windows ME has a built in XMS manager, it does not load HIMEM.SYS.
I have tried HEXediting IO.SYS, but seems to be compressed in some way
(IO.SYS from ME is 100K, while in 98 is 200K).
