Well, I understand from previous discussions that you can load M$
HIMEM.SYS (from W9X?) before DR-DOS EMM386, to get more
than 64K available.

WRT stability, I don't enable the EMM386 multitasking support or
it's DPMI (I use CWSDPMI if needed). I also don't use aggressive
memory remapping, just the normal auto-detected stuff plus, if
necessary, any region I'm 100% sure is available. That avoids
stability problems for all app's except those based on old versions
of the Causeway DOS extender, in which case I re-stub such an
app with the current version of the extender.
