Jim,

So far as I know, only Datalight (www.datalight.com) is still actively
marketing, and perhaps developing, DOS as an operating system. The only
people still buying DOS and using it as a critical part of their
businesses are the embedded and hand-held manufacturers. For example,
most single board computers are shipped with a copy of DOS pre-installed
so that people can boot. There are still some folks, myself included,
writing programs for the embedded DOS market. A lot of people, again
including myself, are using Linux now where DOS would have been three or
four years ago. So, no DOS is not dead, just rather sleepy.

Chris.
