I may be wrong and the following certainly applies to a primary
partition, because I have no experience w/ logical or secondary
partitions, but AFAIK :
- If Norton cannot repair FAT#1 when FAT#@ is still there,
may be the message sent by Norton is wrong !
- To make a physical copy of FAT#2 over FAT#1 :
Write it block wise - a tool like Norton DISKEDIT (a nice tool)
does the job :
It offers the following functionality :
- Select + Copy a certain number of bytes in a sector of your choice
- Paste into the sector of your choice
