: For your convenience I have created a file IHC.REG containing a number : of OEM strings as Windows registry keys. If you know of *any* other OEM : strings used on some pre-formatted floppies, with some formatters, or : other operating systems, please let me know - I=B4m collecting this stuff : for RBIL anyway. http://www.seasip.demon.co.uk/Cpm/software/dualdos.reg stops Windows overwriting discs in my "DualDOS" format (which is readable unaltered under DOS and under CP/M on Amstrad computers). A couple of other OEM ID's I've seen are: 'msodball' : Produced by MSODBALL, a utility which converts Amstrad PCW floppy discs to a 706k DOS format. 'msd v1.0' : Produced by MSDISC, a DOS transfer utility on the PCW. 'AMSTRAD1' : Produced by the Amstrad OEM version of DOSPLUS. ------------- http://www.seasip.demon.co.uk/index.html -------------------- John Elliott |BLOODNOK: "But why have you got such a long face?" |SEAGOON: "Heavy dentures, Sir!" - The Goon Show :-------------------------------------------------------------------------)
