   Yes, that was the problem. Thank you. I didn't actually KNOW about this
(as you know, the documentation for batch files is pathetic) - I guess
none of the ones I've written before have needed to regain control, so I
never knew about it.

   My next obstacle is passing more than 9 parameters to it - any ideas?
