And likewise, parts of your messages have made no sense to me. Some sections
actually see to be saying the opposite of what we're both saying otherwise; to
wit, that Personal NetWare will act as a server and a client under DOS, but
only as a client under Windows 95.

Where? Please show me where I said that. I don't recall even thinking such a
thing, never mind typing it.

The original question was:

My first reply to this was to ask which way around this was supposed to be
working -- DR-DOS connecting to the Win95 server, as indicated by the first
sentence, or Win95 connecting to the DR-DOS server, as in the second. I then
said that in the latter case, it's possible, and the relevant TID is available
from Novell's Support Connection site.
You then replied to my message with:

I certainly disagreed (and still do) with this. If you explain exactly what
you mean here, it may help, but I read that as you stating that, even if one
installs Personal NetWare as a client under Windows 95, one won't be able to
connect to a Personal NetWare server running on DR-DOS. You then followed up
again with:

... and I've set up Personal NetWare servers running under DR-DOS, and I've
accessed these from Windows 95 clients by installing Personal NetWare as a
client, per Novell's TID.

Well, it's possible to connect to Windows servers from DOS using the MS client
for DOS, but that's beside the point. I never claimed to have accessed Windows
servers using DR-DOS.
BTW, it is actually possible to connect to a Windows 95 server from any Novell
client if there's a full NetWare server on the network, but again, that's
beside the point.
Now, if I've misinterpreted any of your replies, then please accept my
apologies. I also tentatively suggest that we take any further conversation on
this matter off-list, since I think it's no longer got anything to do with
OpenDOS/DR-DOS.
