No, just as you I'm a bit behind in reading my mails. I also write my mails
off-line to reduce cost, therefor more information is often available when
my mail finally ends up getting sent.

What do you mean with "to do the next step"? You can easily create the page
you need with notepad.exe (which you already have installed) and upload it
with ftp.exe (already installed as well, however it's not all that easy to
use for a novice).

It's not useless for most people since the majority of users tend to return
to the same pages after a short while. The text (HTML file) might be
diffrent but the images are often the same, atleast enough of them to make
it worth using a few MBs of HD space.

Sorry I missed that, I was just informing you since you might have forgotten.

Oh, my misstake. However setting up a webpage would not take even close to
two hours.
BTW: You are aware that Yahoo! will shutdown your group when they realize
that some of the stuff you have on it is illegal, right? Sorry to say, but
your work will then be in vain and you'll need to redo it.
Although in "Liberating cyberspace" Yaman Akdeniz et. al. write:
"The difficulty with the Net, however, is knowing when infrigement has
occurred." ... "The problem is one of detection and enforcement".
I think Yahoo! do check what's stored on their servers.
You could always try to claim that it's "abandonware" since it's no longer
supported/sold, but that's not how the law works. From the same book:
"In reality, 10 or 15 years´ protection from publication probably would be
adequate given the pace of change in the [computer] industry."
However this isn't the case (yet?), so Yahoo! is likely to remove the group
when they discover it. And sooner or later they'll do that :(

I did read your message, the point I was trying to make was that you
shouldn't have sent them in the first place.

Setting up a webpage takes only a matters of minutes. Of course, with
little or no lack of HTML you'll need to either learn it (better) or use
some other tool such as Netscape, Dreamweaver etc. to make the pages.

Sorry no, it will not show up on the search engines since the group will be
closed by Yahoo! when they realize that you are spreading copyrighted
material on their server. Using a free host (and I don't mean GeoCities,
AngelFire or similar) you stand a higher chance that they'll ignore the
fact that you are a bit illegal. And by using a webpage you can easily get
a new place for it as needed.
Please note that I don't actually have any experience with setting up
illegal homepages on the Net since I've always stayed clear from that
(although I've been tempted from time to time, but never for soemthing that
was a direct infrigment of the copyright).
