NO! the task-*switching* has always worked. Initially, I tried with EMM386
with no exclusions, and of course it crashed, but then as a first step in
trouble shooting I tried EMM386 /E=C000-FFFF, and its been fine since then.
pre-emptive multitasking has never worked in any circumstances.

Yes please; if this has not become irrelevant in the light of what
I hope I have clarified above about non-multi task-switching? Please
send it to the fishy nun address.
