Oh ... I see! (Why didn't you say this before?)

Well, I have never used this stuff peer-to-peer, but if you mean sharing
resources that reside on DOS machines, then I'm sure that is possible
(although I don't do that, myself).

When you start the network services, you have two possible modes :
1. Basic services. In this mode you can access drives and printers
from other machines on the network. That's about all.
2. Full services. In this mode, you can do the above, plus access
your M$-Exchange mail server (using M$-Exchange for DOS) and,
IIRC, you can also share your machine's resources with the rest
    of the network.

From memory, when you install this stuff, you select your default
mode (Basic or Full). You can also change mode "at will" (well,
provided you don't load any TSR after you start your network
services), using the NET STOP and NET START commands.

Why not simply use Full services and forget about Basic services?
Because this stuff is very memory hungry, especially in Full mode.

Hope that helps.
Joe.
