No I'm probably the one who should say I'm sorry, I think I broke one of

I would see it as the most logical way to do it. There's no need to send
the request out since I doubt that the ISP is going to be able to answer
it. Or perhaps a BOOTP request is what is done to get dynamic DNS? (As I
said early on in this thread I have no idea since I *know* that it doesn't
work in Win9x despite what the ISPs are telling you).

That is true, this topic (BOOTP) has surfaced on the Arachne mailinglist as
well a few days after my answer to you was sent.
I'll take my chance and ask here as well, does anyone have a SB 128 PCI and
have the DOS drivers? Yes I know this is weird, drivers for a soundcard
where is the world going?
