Auto has always worked fine for me. But perhaps the diffrence here lies in
what "generation" of PCs we are talking about? I don't know if you guys
really do it but it seems you are using 386/486s machines with new HDs/CDs...
None of my ATAPI compliant CDs have ever had any problems being recognized
by any BIOS I've had on any machine past my 486SX-25 (starting with a
486DX2-80 and an ATAPI capable 10X CD). Perhaps I've always done it wrong?
