I wasn't aware of a diffrence between them. If you use a (really old)
computer without EIDE on the motherboard then I can understand if there's a
diffrence. There are also diffrences between UDMA (32, 66 or 100)
capability and a normal IDE capable chipset/I-O card but that's another
story altogether.

I wasn't even aware of a program that could use a IDE (which means in my
experience that it's junk) CD-R in DOS. There are atleast one that you can
use with SCSI CD-Rs, but I haven't tried it yet. Any experience with
burning CDs in DOS would be appreciated.
