Something That I have just been playing with to save me having to reroute
all my IDE cables and open up my box is using the bios to change the boot
drive letter. ( usually under advanced on award bios)

THis is time consuming ( I only had to do it a couple of times booting off
a couple of different hd's) as you have to wait for the computer to reset,
also probably only an option on the pentium + m/b's. Basically the drive
letter you pick for the boot becomes C: and re-assigns drive letters to
other drives

Don't know if this would solve the DR-DOs needing to be at the beginning of
a drive but was just a thought.

While this solution offers some pluses [I'd REALLY like the LOADER
solution to work properly, it would be the BEST solution to adding back
the REAL DOS boot option that MS took away from WinMe], it does not
directly solve the problem of how to use the DRDOS COMMAND.COM under
WinMe.  Plus...
<snip>

Actually, if I had to choose between running the DRDOS COMMAND.COM under
WinMe and having a fully functional WinMe/DRDOS dual boot, I'd choose
the dual boot! But the reality is that I can have neither one!
