I agree (except for #7, though) - the DOS *isn't* the problem;
I use the M$-DOS 7.10 stuff all the time with M$W95B ... :-).
What is more, my M$W95B / M$D7.10 is set-up as a
traditional Windoze-over-DOS installation, ALA M$W3.X.
Windoze is only started-up by "WIN" in AUTOEXEC.BAT,
and then only if I answer "Y" to the "Windoze?" prompt!
Oh, and to make it even more interesting, I use the DR-DOS
multibooter, so I can boot to DR-DOS 7.02+ or M$ crap, as
I wish. The only problem is that DR-DOS "stuffs up" (US
translation : "screws up" ;-) the LFN entries, which is
disappointing for DR-DOS (note that this is just a nuisance,
it doesn't actually cause things to misbehave ...).
