As does DRDOS Task manager. Tasks run under TM are in v86 mode. Linux itself
is 32 bit mode and requires a 386 or later CPU, however, there is at least
one clone of Linux that will run on a 286 and there was a professor at a
university that made a UNIX clone that would run on an 8086/88, I believe
it's name was MINIX. You can still find it on the WEB. I think I have a copy
of it some place and possibly the 286 version. But they would be on the
Linux tapes and I can't read those until I install that program for the tape
in DOS Linux.
