Too big? <grin>

I downloaded the whole RedHat 4.0 with the Non-free and all contibutions,
and the coomplete Debian v3 with a 28.8 modem and a lousy connection. I was
licky to get 24k connect speed. But of course I was not using stupid WINDOZE
crap to down load it. I used LYNX under Linux and would use a command to dl
tree structres and resume. I did not care if there were timeout probelms and
other such things. I would just turn on the computer at night before I went
to sleep and coonect to the site and let it rip. If I missed part of a file
I would automaticcaly get the rest of it the next time. Then after I get
everything I connect one more time and re-download it all and if nothing is
assed to any files I know it is complete with no errors because it will
check the files automatically.. All total I donloaded well over 600MB in
about a week.<g>

But I see your point. I probably will not do that again as you can buy the
Linux CDs for about $3.00 each and if I buy a bundle the price per CD is
even lower.

Pat
