Last time I used Norton's Wipe it literally did just that.
It cleaned off the formatting on the partition on the
hard drive and on the floppies I used it on.
Since Norton's Wipe program is the military strength (Times ten)
data eraser it should be used carefully. I originally thought that
it only wrote X's in each and every empty data bit position on
the disk ten times but it may have been having a problem with
entries in the fat which were supposed to be erased.
??? Could this be cause of a problem with EMM386?
