Sorry about that. I meant enhanced mode, not real mode. You have to have a
386 or better to run in enhanced mode. I was probably getting tired when I
wrote the message. I sometimes get those stupid WINDOZE modes mixed up. I
only used that WINDOZE 3.x crap on OS/2 with the OS/2 WINDOZE hernel on Warp
3.0. I also used it a places where I worked but never had the crap on my
system except to check out a few things then only had it installed for a
sort time. never did get the WFWG 3.11 networking to work with DRDOS. About
the only thing that did not crash for me was that solitaire progam!!!! (That
probably crashes too if you play it enough!!!)
Many years ago when I had a 286, I did run WINDOZE 2.x on my system for a
short time and threw it out after it barfed several times! Good thing I got
it from one of those liquidation mail order houses and only spent $30 for
it, else I may have made a trip to Washington ST. Even then the first
diskette did not have any info on it, it was not even formatted, had to
barrow a copy from someone else to make a diskette that would work. Typical
Gates' quality control, I guess!!!!
Then someone comes along and has the guts to ask me why I hate MS crap for
software and Gates in general. Maybe that is why I am getting a bald spot on
my head!!!! I guess maybe it all started on my Apple computer that had
Applesoft BASIC in ROM written by MS and Gates had set the 8th bit high for
all ASCII characters!!!! However, it may have even been befor that, back in
1976 when I started building my OSI and later added MS BASIC in ROM in about
1977 or 1978!!!!
