You can try setup /nm (supposed to bypass detection of CPU if yours
doesn't meet minimum
requirements, such as older 386/486 CPU's. )
There is also setup /p f to create a new registry if yours is
corrupted.
Then there is setup /ntldr which is supposed to ignore the old system and
allow you to install
WIN98 on any Intel PC with Win95 installed. ( I have personally had a
little trouble
with this one trying to install an OEM Version of Win98 over a Win 95
installation. It always
tells me I have to have an upgrade version of Win 98. Then I have had to
delete the windows\
system folder and all the C:\ (root) boot files.)
There is at least one more command line switch I didn't record. You can
go out on
the WWW and use something like the Altavista search engine and search for
WIN 95/98 setup switches to look for updated information.
