The DRFAT32.SYS device driver fully supports LBA access to overcome 
the 8 GB barrier of the CHS addressing scheme. However, since there
is no DRFAT16.EXE redirector driver, you can use this only 
in conjunction with the DRFAT32.EXE redirector, that is for FAT32 
drives. Given the memory footprint of the shipping issue (with
EMS and DPMS support disabled) and the fact that it is not
cached by NWCACHE, this is not actually a solution.

The DR-DOS 7.04/7.05 OEM kernel that ships with Ontrack's Easy
Recovery 5 natively supports FAT32 and LBA. So this should also
work on FAT16 drives. However, there are a number of compatibility
issues with this OEM kernel...

For now, I would use DiskManager or a similar software to
work around the problem even before DOS loads.
