In fact, I choose to disable the HTML mail features of my software.
As was pointed out, it's considered a waste of bandwidth, and some
places consider it rude.
BTW, speaking of rude, this really wasn't much of a flame war. Very
politely discussed by most parties, and informative too.

In fact, most of the messages are NOT in HTML format. Which is what
I would expect from a list that's devoted to the use of a non-
graphical operating system...
