I suggest you set this as default setting, it will save you time from
having to change it for others later since people *will* complain.

Nope, at the end of your message the following URL was:
http://im.yahoo.com
Now Eudora (and Arachne, and Netscape) would make this clickable as it is.
Outlook usually also has this feature.
Some people seem to favor to send URLs like this:
<A HREF="whatever">whatever</A>
Thereby making it incredibly bad looking in most mail handlers - and I
can't really understand which program it is that demands this weird structure.

Also explained in the other mail. You are good at finding out things, but
without the basic knowledge of how things work you are not very good at
guesssing the reasons. First and foremost assume the problem is at your
end, and until you can proove otherwise don't guess on anything else.

Send mails as mails and not as attachments.

I'll take a very wild chance here on presenting a perhaps not so liked idea:

I suggest that anyone who repetedly sends attachments to the list is
banned. (If the person is warned first of course that such things isn't
tolerated).
