I've always been able to tell it by listening to it ;-)
Wouldn't it be easier to add the id3 tags? I once made a program to remove
them just becuase I didn't have a program that could show them to me - I'll
do anything to save a few extra bytes ;-)
Now with 20GB HDs for less than 110 USD here there isn't much point (if
only I could use all that space in DOS...)

It would be great if you could :)

Are you absolutely sure you should make a bet on that? I am after all one
of the people contributing to the code (well actually I'm alone in
contributing anything that have made it in an official release so far - no
scrollbars for instance and a number of smaller speed improvments here and
there). I wasn't the one responsible for adding LFN support to Arachne that
was made by a friend of mine named Chris (and he never got to see the code
since I didn't have the code to Arachne back then). Ok, wwwman doesn't
support LFNs (in the version that's shipped anyway - the reason is that we
never made a check to see if LFNs were available or not, if enabled and no
LFNs wwwman would become very slow) but you can do like this for instance:
"arachne c:\my-mp3s\Unknown Artist - Trapped on the Internet.mp3", hmm...
however you might be correct that Arachne doesn't handle files with spaces
in them - I'll need to check that out but the following will work (if LFN
is turned on - some of the option pages have a choice for this):
"arachne somefilewithalongname.htm"
Anyway any link with or without spaces in them will work (if LFNs are
turned on that is).

BTW: I don't know how LFNs sent to the plugins (an mp3-player for instance)
are handeld this is also something I need to test. However since not that
many people (if any) use the LFN support in Arachne I don't find it much
usefull to devote time on this. i think I'll finish epppd 0.7 instead.
