I assure you DR-DOS was not 
extant "before there was any
MS or PC DOS."  Even CP/M 
86, Kildall's alternative 
for the original IBM-PC, was 
released *after* M$'s PC-DOS 
-- "what we're here for" is 
another issue entirely, at 
the moment we're trying to 
get some historical facts 
straight.
